For what does the scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited ¹  to him as righteousness.” ² 

Who will bring any charge against God’s elect? ¹  It is God who justifies.

For if there was glory in the ministry that produced condemnation, ¹  how much more does the ministry that produces righteousness ²  excel ³  in glory!

Stand firm therefore, by fastening ¹  the belt of truth around your waist, ²  by putting on the breastplate of righteousness,

filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

In my zeal for God I persecuted the church. According to the righteousness stipulated in the law I was blameless.

But, according to his promise, we are waiting for ¹  new heavens and a new earth, in which ²  righteousness truly resides. ³

When she got up to gather grain, Boaz told ¹  his male servants, “Let her gather grain even among ²  the bundles! Don’t chase her off! ³
