The man replied, ¹  “I heard you moving about ²  in the orchard, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.”

Who is there from the entire human race ¹  who has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the middle of the fire as we have, and has lived?

Thus all Israel will hear and be afraid; no longer will they continue to do evil like this among you. ¹ 

But to this very day the Lord has not given you an understanding mind, perceptive eyes, or discerning ears! ¹
