They did not neglect any detail of the king’s orders pertaining to the priests, Levites, and treasuries. ¹ 

He touched my mouth with it and said, “Look, this coal has touched your lips. Your evil is removed; your sin is forgiven.” ¹ 

But the more I summoned ¹  them, the farther they departed from me. ²  They sacrificed to the Baal idols and burned incense to images.

To ¹  one he gave five talents, ²  to another two, and to another one, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.

Then ¹  Jesus went away with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him. ²  And from Judea,

She had lived as a widow since then for eighty-four years. ¹  She never left the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. ² 

So ¹  he stretched out his hand and touched ²  him, saying, “I am willing. Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.

Jesus told him, “Go home; ¹  your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and set off for home. ² 

David by foreseeing this ¹  spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, ²  that he was neither abandoned to Hades, ³  nor did his body ⁴  experience ⁵  decay. ⁶ 

They had ¹  a sharp disagreement, ²  so that they parted company. Barnabas took along ³  Mark and sailed away to Cyprus, ⁴ 

After three months we put out to sea ¹  in an Alexandrian ship that had wintered at the island and had the “Heavenly Twins” ²  as its figurehead. ³ 

nor did I go up to Jerusalem ¹  to see those who were apostles before me, but right away I departed to Arabia, ²  and then returned to Damascus.

The sky ¹  was split apart ²  like a scroll being rolled up, ³  and every mountain and island was moved from its place.

The Lord’s messenger touched the meat and the unleavened bread with the tip of his staff. ¹  Fire flared up from the rock and consumed the meat and unleavened bread. The Lord’s messenger then disappeared. ² 

When you leave me today, you will find two men near Rachel’s tomb at Zelzah on Benjamin’s border. They will say to you, ‘The donkeys you have gone looking for have been found. Your father is no longer concerned about the donkeys but has become anxious about you two! ¹  He is asking, “What should I do about my son?”’

“Due to your great compassion you did not abandon them in the desert. The pillar of cloud did not stop guiding them in the path by day, ¹  nor did the pillar of fire stop illuminating for them by night the path on which they should travel.

So ¹  the people went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus. They ²  found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind, and they were afraid.

After Lot had departed, the Lord said to Abram, ¹  “Look ²  from the place where you stand to the north, south, east, and west.

Then Isaac breathed his last and joined his ancestors. ¹  He died an old man who had lived a full life. ²  His sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

Then he instructed them, ¹  “I am about to go ²  to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite.
