“On the eighth day he must bring them for his purification to the priest at the entrance ¹  of the Meeting Tent before the Lord,

This is the law of the one in whom there is a diseased infection, ¹  who does not have sufficient means for his purification.” ² 

Then he is to sprinkle on it some of the blood with his finger seven times, and cleanse and consecrate it ¹  from the impurities of the Israelites.

“Command the Israelites to bring ¹  to you pure oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually. ² 

You must put pure frankincense ¹  on each row, ²  and it will become a memorial portion ³  for the bread, a gift ⁴  to the Lord.

I will lay your cities waste ¹  and make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will refuse to smell your soothing aromas.

“‘If what is vowed is a kind of animal from which an offering may be presented ¹  to the Lord, anything which he gives to the Lord from this kind of animal ²  will be holy.

“After this, the Levites will go in ¹  to do the work ²  of the tent of meeting. So you must cleanse them ³  and offer them like a wave offering. ⁴ 

You must purify each garment and everything that is made of skin, everything made of goat’s hair, and everything made of wood.” ¹ 

you must do to him what he had intended to do to the accused. In this way you will purge ¹  evil from among you.

and when all the people had finished crossing, the ark of the Lord and the priests crossed as the people looked on. ¹ 

So Hanun seized David’s servants and shaved their beards off. ¹  He cut off the lower part of their robes so that their buttocks were exposed ²  and then sent them away.

Nevertheless you have done some good things; ¹  you removed ²  the Asherah poles from the land and you were determined to follow the Lord.” ³ 

Then I gave instructions that the storerooms should be purified, and I brought back the equipment ¹  of the temple of God, along with the grain offering and the incense.

So I purified them of everything foreign, and I assigned specific ¹  duties to the priests and the Levites.

if you become ¹  pure ²  and upright, ³  even now he will rouse himself ⁴  for you, and will restore ⁵  your righteous abode. ⁶ 

But now, the sun ¹  cannot be looked at ²  – it is bright in the skies – after a wind passed and swept the clouds away. ³ 

The Lord’s words are absolutely reliable. ¹  They are as untainted as silver purified in a furnace on the ground, where it is thoroughly refined. ² 

The Lord rewarded me for my godly deeds; ¹  he took notice of my blameless behavior. ² 

As a demonstration of your loyal love, ¹  destroy my enemies! Annihilate ²  all who threaten my life, ³  for I am your servant.
