The king made silver as plentiful ¹  in Jerusalem as stones; cedar was ²  as plentiful as sycamore fig trees are in the lowlands ³ .

His legs are like pillars of marble set on bases of pure gold. His appearance is like Lebanon, choice as its cedars.

Then ¹  he took it down, wrapped it in a linen cloth, ²  and placed it ³  in a tomb cut out of the rock, ⁴  where no one had yet been buried. ⁵ 

“Here is this pile of stones and this pillar I have set up between me and you,” Laban said to Jacob. ¹ 

You are to put into the ark the testimony ¹  that I will give to you.

(Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its color like the color of bdellium.

When the servant had left, David got up from beside the mound, ¹  knelt ²  with his face to the ground, and bowed three times. Then they kissed each other and they both wept, especially David.

David took the crown from the head of their king ¹  and wore it ²  (its weight was a talent ³  of gold and it was set with precious stones). He took a large amount of plunder from the city.

The furnishings included linen and purple curtains hung by cords of the finest linen ¹  and purple wool on silver rings, alabaster columns, gold and silver couches ²  displayed on a floor made of valuable stones of alabaster, mother-of-pearl, and mineral stone.

that with an iron chisel and with lead ¹  they were engraved in a rock forever!

It cannot be measured out for purchase ¹  with the gold of Ophir, with precious onyx ²  or sapphires.

The Lord abhors ¹  dishonest scales, ²  but an accurate weight ³  is his elight.

Indeed, they made their heart as hard as diamond, ¹  so that they could not obey the Torah and the other words the Lord who rules over all had sent by his Spirit through the former prophets. Therefore, the Lord who rules over all had poured out great wrath.

They ¹  continued to stone Stephen while he prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”

I am the God of Bethel, ¹  where you anointed ²  the sacred stone and made a vow to me. ³  Now leave this land immediately ⁴  and return to your native land.’”

Instead, this is what you must do to them: You must tear down their altars, shatter their sacred pillars, ¹  cut down their sacred Asherah poles, ²  and burn up their idols.

There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets Moses had placed there in Horeb. ¹  (It was there that ²  the Lord made an agreement with the Israelites after he brought them out of the land of Egypt.)

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, ¹  you who kill the prophets and stone those who are sent to you! ²  How often I have longed ³  to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but ⁴  you would have none of it! ⁵ 

and with cutting and setting stone, and with cutting wood, to work in all kinds of craftsmanship.

Now the tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.
