So again they asked the man who used to be blind, ¹  “What do you say about him, since he caused you to see?” ²  “He is a prophet,” the man replied. ³ 

Peter said to him, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you!” ¹ 

Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? ¹  I tell you the solemn truth, ²  the rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times!

I made known your name to them, and I will continue to make it known, ¹  so that the love you have loved me with may be in them, and I may be in them.”

So when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Woman, ¹  look, here is your son!”

He then said to his disciple, “Look, here is your mother!” From that very time ¹  the disciple took her into his own home.

who said by the Holy Spirit through ¹  your servant David our forefather, ²  ‘Why do the nations ³  rage, ⁴  and the peoples plot foolish ⁵  things?

while you extend your hand to heal, and to bring about miraculous signs ¹  and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

‘I am the God of your forefathers, ¹  the God of Abraham, Isaac, ²  and Jacob.’ ³  Moses began to tremble and did not dare to look more closely. ⁴ 

But the Lord said to him, ‘Take the sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground. ¹ 

But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, ¹  because you thought you could acquire ²  God’s gift with money!

You have no share or part ¹  in this matter ²  because your heart is not right before God!

Then the eunuch said ¹  to Philip, “Please tell me, ²  who is the prophet saying this about – himself or someone else?” ³ 

But Ananias replied, ¹  “Lord, I have heard from many people ²  about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem,

So they took Paul and ¹  brought him to the Areopagus, ²  saying, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are proclaiming?

because I am with you, and no one will assault ¹  you to harm ²  you, because I have many people in this city.”

and saw the Lord ¹  saying to me, ‘Hurry and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’

Paul replied, ¹  “I did not realize, ²  brothers, that he was the high priest, for it is written, ‘You must not speak evil about a ruler of your people.’” ³ 

When I was informed ¹  there would be a plot ²  against this man, I sent him to you at once, also ordering his accusers to state their charges ³  against him before you.

As you can verify ¹  for yourself, not more than twelve days ago ²  I went up to Jerusalem ³  to worship.
