Balaam replied ¹  to the servants of Balak, “Even if Balak would give me his palace full of silver and gold, I could not transgress the commandment ²  of the Lord my God ³  to do less or more.

so he imprisoned them in the house of the captain of the guard in the same facility where Joseph was confined.

Pharaoh was enraged with his servants, and he put me in prison in the house of the captain of the guards – me and the chief baker.

So they approached the man who was in charge of Joseph’s household and spoke to him at the entrance to the house.

The servant in charge ¹  brought the men into Joseph’s house. He gave them water, and they washed their feet. Then he gave food to their donkeys.

No! ¹  Go, you men ²  only, and serve the Lord, for that ³  is what you want.” ⁴  Then Moses and Aaron ⁵  were driven ⁶  out of Pharaoh’s presence.
