For David did not ascend into heaven, but he himself says, ‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit ¹  at my right hand

For the promise ¹  is for you and your children, and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”

He ¹  kept back for himself part of the proceeds with his wife’s knowledge; he brought ²  only part of it and placed it at the apostles’ feet.

On their second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers again, and Joseph’s family ¹  became known to Pharaoh.

Philip, however, found himself ¹  at Azotus, ²  and as he passed through the area, ³  he proclaimed the good news ⁴  to all the towns ⁵  until he came to Caesarea. ⁶ 

nor is he served by human hands, as if he needed anything, ¹  because he himself gives life and breath and everything to everyone. ² 

When they reached Ephesus, ¹  Paul ²  left Priscilla and Aquila ³  behind there, but he himself went ⁴  into the synagogue ⁵  and addressed ⁶  the Jews.

So after sending ¹  two of his assistants, ²  Timothy and Erastus, to Macedonia, ³  he himself stayed on for a while in the province of Asia. ⁴ 

But Paul went down, ¹  threw himself ²  on the young man, ³  put his arms around him, ⁴  and said, “Do not be distressed, for he is still alive!” ⁵ 

The faith ¹  you have, keep to yourself before God. Blessed is the one who does not judge himself by what he approves.

For even Christ did not please himself, but just as it is written, “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.” ¹ 

If someone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss. ¹  He himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

But if there is no interpreter, he should be silent in the church. Let him speak to himself and to God.

If anyone considers himself a prophet or spiritual person, he should acknowledge that what I write to you is the Lord’s command.

And all these things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age according to the will of our God and Father,

And I testify again to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey ¹  the whole law.

when he nullified ¹  in his flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in himself one new man ²  out of two, ³  thus making peace,

and live ¹  in love, just as Christ also loved us ²  and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering ³  to God.

because the husband is the head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church – he himself being the savior of the body.
