For thus an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be richly provided for you.

After Abraham’s death, God blessed ¹  his son Isaac. Isaac lived near Beer Lahai Roi. ² 

The Lord passed by before him and proclaimed: ¹  “The Lord, the Lord, ²  the compassionate and gracious ³  God, slow to anger, ⁴  and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness, ⁵ 

Be careful ¹  not to say, “My own ability and skill ²  have gotten me this wealth.”

Of Naphtali he said: O Naphtali, overflowing with favor, and full of the Lord’s blessing, possess the west and south.

Micah said, “Now I know God will make me rich, ¹  because I have this Levite as my priest.”

(Hiram’s fleet, which carried gold from Ophir, also brought from Ophir a very large quantity of fine timber and precious gems.

(Huram’s ¹  servants, aided by Solomon’s servants, brought gold from Ophir, as well as ²  fine ³  timber and precious gems.

The Lord made his kingdom secure; ¹  all Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he became very wealthy and greatly respected. ² 

He built royal cities ¹  and owned a large number of sheep and cattle, for God gave him a huge amount of possessions.

And surely, he drew you ¹  from the mouth of distress, to a wide place, unrestricted, ²  and to the comfort ³  of your table filled with rich food. ⁴ 

Do not trust in what you can gain by oppression! ¹  Do not put false confidence in what you can gain by robbery! ²  If wealth increases, do not become attached to it! ³ 

You allowed men to ride over our heads; we passed through fire and water, but you brought us out into a wide open place. ¹ 

He made cursing a way of life, ¹  so curses poured into his stomach like water and seeped into his bones like oil. ² 

The one who despises instruction ¹  will pay the penalty, ²  but whoever esteems instruction ³  will ⁴  be rewarded. ⁵ 

The one who increases his wealth by increasing interest ¹  gathers it for someone who is gracious ²  to the needy.

I ¹  will sing to my love – a song to my lover about his vineyard. ²  My love had a vineyard on a fertile hill. ³ 

For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, ¹  your deliverer. I have handed over Egypt as a ransom price, Ethiopia and Seba ²  in place of you.

Remember what I accomplished in antiquity! ¹  Truly I am God, I have no peer; ²  I am God, and there is none like me,

Rich and poor alike will die in this land. They will not be buried or mourned. People will not cut their bodies or shave off their hair to show their grief for them. ¹
