What did he mean by saying, ¹  ‘You will look for me ²  but will not find me, and where I am you cannot come’?”

But now you are trying ¹  to kill me, a man who has told you ²  the truth I heard from God. Abraham did not do this! ³ 

When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, ¹  but she did not know that it was Jesus.

After this ¹  Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias. ²  Now this is how he did so. ³ 

When it was already very early morning, Jesus stood on the beach, but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

David by foreseeing this ¹  spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, ²  that he was neither abandoned to Hades, ³  nor did his body ⁴  experience ⁵  decay. ⁶ 

For David did not ascend into heaven, but he himself says, ‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit ¹  at my right hand

After ¹  making Peter and John ²  stand in their midst, they began to inquire, “By what power or by what name ³  did you do this?”

And every day both in the temple courts ¹  and from house to house, they did not stop teaching and proclaiming the good news ²  that Jesus was the Christ. ³ 

‘I am the God of your forefathers, ¹  the God of Abraham, Isaac, ²  and Jacob.’ ³  Moses began to tremble and did not dare to look more closely. ⁴ 

He ¹  was a devout, God-fearing man, ²  as was all his household; he did many acts of charity for the people ³  and prayed to God regularly.

We ¹  are witnesses of all the things he did both in Judea ²  and in Jerusalem. ³  They ⁴  killed him by hanging him on a tree, ⁵ 

“No one can withhold the water for these people to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, ¹  can he?” ² 

Then as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on ¹  them just as he did ²  on us at the beginning. ³ 

Peter ¹  went out ²  and followed him; ³  he did not realize that what was happening through the angel was real, ⁴  but thought he was seeing a vision.

Immediately an angel of the Lord ¹  struck ²  Herod ³  down because he did not give the glory to God, and he was eaten by worms and died. ⁴ 

And God, who knows the heart, ¹  has testified ²  to them by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, ³ 

When they came to ¹  Mysia, ²  they attempted to go into Bithynia, ³  but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow ⁴  them to do this, ⁵ 

Paul went to the Jews in the synagogue, ¹  as he customarily did, and on three Sabbath days he addressed ²  them from the scriptures,

and said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” ¹  They replied, ²  “No, we have not even ³  heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
