Barnabas wanted to bring John called Mark along with them too,

Some of them were wanting to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him. ¹ 

So Herodias nursed a grudge against him and wanted to kill him. But ¹  she could not

For we wanted to come to you (I, Paul, in fact tried again and again) ¹  but Satan thwarted us.

Now ¹  Jesus went up the mountain ²  and called for those he wanted, and they came to him.

So ¹  they made signs to the baby’s ²  father, ³  inquiring what he wanted to name his son. ⁴ 

Now when they heard this, they became furious ¹  and wanted to execute them. ² 

But when Paul wanted to enter the public assembly, ¹  the disciples would not let him.

Although ¹  Herod ²  wanted to kill John, ³  he feared the crowd because they accepted John as a prophet.

He became hungry and wanted to eat, but while they were preparing the meal, a trance came over him. ¹ 

When ¹  they had heard my case, ²  they wanted to release me, ³  because there was no basis for a death sentence ⁴  against me.

During the feast the governor was accustomed to release one prisoner to the crowd, ¹  whomever they wanted.

Then Jesus took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed the bread to those who were seated. He then did the same with the fish, ¹  as much as they wanted.

Paul wanted Timothy ¹  to accompany him, and he took ²  him and circumcised ³  him because of the Jews who were in those places, ⁴  for they all knew that his father was Greek. ⁵ 

They wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowds, because the crowds ¹  regarded him as a prophet.

Since I wanted to know ¹  what charge they were accusing him of, ²  I brought him down to their council. ³ 

And with this confidence I intended to come to you first so that you would get a second opportunity to see us, ¹ 

Due to the greatness that he bestowed on him, all peoples, nations, and language groups were trembling with fear ¹  before him. He killed whom he wished, he spared ²  whom he wished, he exalted whom he wished, and he brought low whom he wished.

Pilate addressed them once again because he wanted ¹  to release Jesus.

Do not let them say to themselves, ¹  “Aha! We have what we wanted!” ²  Do not let them say, “We have devoured him!”
