Indeed, the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets,

I spoke to the prophets; I myself revealed many visions; ¹  I spoke in parables ²  through ³  the prophets.”

“As for your ancestors, where are they? And did the prophets live forever?

So the Lord announced through ¹  his servants the prophets:

saying, ¹  “Don’t touch my anointed ones! Don’t harm my prophets!”

saying, ¹  “Don’t touch my chosen ²  ones! Don’t harm my prophets!”

“You say, ‘The Lord has raised up prophets of good news ¹  for us here in Babylon.’

Your prophets have become like jackals among the ruins, O Israel.

All the law and the prophets depend ¹  on these two commandments.”

as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from long ago, ¹ 

But Abraham said, ¹  ‘They have Moses and the prophets; they must respond to ²  them.’

By saying this you testify against yourselves that you are descendants of those who murdered the prophets.

And many false prophets will appear and deceive ¹  many,

Watch out, ¹  then, that what is spoken about by ²  the prophets does not happen to you:

Those prophets are just prophesying lies. They are prophesying the delusions of their own minds. ¹
