For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason for boasting, because I am compelled to do this. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

Whether then it was I or they, this is the way we preach and this is the way you believed.

There ¹  they continued to proclaim ²  the good news.

‘Don’t preach with such impassioned rhetoric,’ they say excitedly. ¹  ‘These prophets should not preach of such things; we will not be overtaken by humiliation.’ ² 

And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How timely ¹  is the arrival ²  of those who proclaim the good news.” ³ 

From that time Jesus began to preach this message: ¹  “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

Thus I am eager ¹  also to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome. ² 

but we preach about a crucified Christ, ¹  a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.

As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near!’

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from goodwill.

He replied, ¹  “Let us go elsewhere, into the surrounding villages, so that I can preach there too. For that is what I came out here to do.” ² 

He ¹  commanded us to preach to the people and to warn ²  them ³  that he is the one ⁴  appointed ⁵  by God as judge ⁶  of the living and the dead.

and he sent ¹  them out to proclaim ²  the kingdom of God ³  and to heal the sick. ⁴ 

For we do not proclaim ¹  ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves ²  for Jesus’ sake.

When ¹  Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on from there to teach and preach in their towns.

He ¹  appointed twelve (whom he named apostles ² ), ³  so that they would be with him and he could send them to preach

And in this way I desire to preach where Christ has not been named, so as not to build on another person’s foundation,

so that we may preach the gospel in the regions that lie beyond you, and not boast of work already done in another person’s area.

But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach ¹  a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, ²  let him be condemned to hell! ³
