The one who works his land will be satisfied with food, ¹  but whoever chases daydreams ²  will have his fill ³  of poverty.

But Esau said, “I have plenty, my brother. Keep what belongs to you.”

Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the whole land of Egypt.

The seven years of abundance in the land of Egypt came to an end.

We have plenty of straw and feed,” she added, ¹  “and room for you ²  to spend the night.”

then your barns will be filled completely, ¹  and your vats ²  will overflow ³  with new wine.

May God give you the dew of the sky ¹  and the richness ²  of the earth, and plenty of grain and new wine.

The previous abundance of the land will not be remembered ¹  because of the famine that follows, for the famine will be very severe. ² 

You will have plenty to eat, and your hunger will be fully satisfied; ¹  you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has acted wondrously in your behalf. My people will never again be put to shame.

I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment, ¹  whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing.

Azariah, the head priest from the family of Zadok, said to him, “Since the contributions began arriving in the Lord’s temple, we have had plenty to eat and have a large quantity left over. For the Lord has blessed his people, and this large amount remains.”

I will provide pasture ¹  for your livestock and you will eat your fill.”

In the fullness of his sufficiency, ¹  distress ²  overtakes him. the full force of misery will come upon him. ³ 

Do not love sleep, ¹  lest you become impoverished; open your eyes so that ²  you might be satisfied with food. ³ 

The one who works ¹  his field will have plenty ²  of food, but whoever chases daydreams ³  lacks wisdom. ⁴ 

During the seven years of abundance the land produced large, bountiful harvests. ¹ 

then the Almighty himself will be your gold, ¹  and the choicest ²  silver for you.

The plans of the diligent ¹  lead ²  only to plenty, ³  but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty. ⁴ 

But seven years of famine will occur ¹  after them, and all the abundance will be forgotten in the land of Egypt. The famine will devastate ²  the land.

Instead we will do everything we vowed we would do. ¹  We will sacrifice and pour out drink offerings to the goddess called the Queen of Heaven ²  just as we and our ancestors, our kings, and our leaders previously did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, were well-off, and had no troubles. ³
