“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” ¹ 

And which of you by worrying can add even one hour to his life? ¹ 

Which is easier, ¹  to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

Blind fools! Which is greater, the gold or the temple that makes the gold sacred?

They ¹  came to a place called Golgotha ²  (which means “Place of the Skull”) ³ 

They brought Jesus ¹  to a place called Golgotha ²  (which is translated, “Place of the Skull”). ³ 

Which is easier, ¹  to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

So ¹  they sailed over to the region of the Gerasenes, ²  which is opposite ³  Galilee.

Now an argument started among the disciples ¹  as to which of them might be ²  the greatest.

And which of you by worrying ¹  can add an hour to his life? ² 

Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, ¹  which is called the Passover, was approaching.

Yet ¹  they were not able to resist ²  the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.

Let each one remain in that situation in life ¹  in which he was called.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,

And do not get drunk with wine, which ¹  is debauchery, ²  but be filled by the Spirit, ³ 

“Honor your father and mother,” ¹  which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely,

And to all these ¹  virtues ²  add ³  love, which is the perfect bond. ⁴ 

in hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the ages began. ¹ 

“Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him ¹  Emmanuel,” ²  which means ³  “God with us.” ⁴ 

You are blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?
