I wear sackcloth and they ridicule me. ¹ 

Your clothing did not wear out nor did your feet swell all these forty years.

You must not wear clothing made with wool and linen meshed together. ¹ 

You shall make yourselves tassels ¹  for the four corners of the clothing you wear.

Do not wear yourself out to become rich; be wise enough to restrain yourself. ¹ 

and to put on sandals but not to wear two tunics. ¹ 

what he stores up ¹  a righteous man will wear, and an innocent man will inherit his silver.

Surely ¹  I would wear it proudly ²  on my shoulder, I would bind ³  it on me like a crown;

For forty years you sustained them. Even in the desert they never lacked anything. Their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell.

They will perish, but you will endure. ¹  They will wear out like a garment; like clothes you will remove them and they will disappear. ² 

In their streets they wear sackcloth; on their roofs and in their town squares all of them wail, they fall down weeping.

Look, the sovereign Lord helps me. Who dares to condemn me? Look, all of them will wear out like clothes; a moth will eat away at them.

They will wear sackcloth, terror will cover them; shame will be on all their faces, and all of their heads will be shaved bald. ¹ 

So then, don’t worry saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’

What ¹  did you go out to see? A man dressed in fancy clothes? ²  Look, those who wear fancy clothes are in the homes of kings! ³ 

What ¹  did you go out to see? A man dressed in fancy ²  clothes? ³  Look, those who wear fancy clothes and live in luxury ⁴  are in kings’ courts! ⁵ 

Then ¹  Jesus ²  said to his ³  disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry ⁴  about your ⁵  life, what you will eat, or about your ⁶  body, what you will wear.

yet because this widow keeps on bothering me, I will give her justice, or in the end she will wear me out ¹  by her unending pleas.’” ² 

Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God is with me and protects me on this journey I am taking and gives me food ¹  to eat and clothing to wear,

You will surely wear out, ¹  both you and these people who are with you, for this is too ²  heavy a burden ³  for you; you are not able to do it by yourself.
