She left immediately, ¹  removed her veil, and put on her widow’s clothes.

When Moses finished ¹  speaking ²  with them, he would ³  put a veil on his face.

Like a slice of pomegranate is your forehead ¹  behind your veil.

But until this very day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their minds, ¹ 

but when one ¹  turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. ² 

Pick up millstones and grind flour! Remove your veil, strip off your skirt, expose your legs, cross the streams!

Then Mordecai again sat at the king’s gate, while Haman hurried away to his home, mournful and with a veil over his head.

and take a censer full of coals of fire from the altar before the Lord ¹  and a full double handful of finely ground fragrant incense, ²  and bring them inside the veil-canopy. ³ 

but he must not go into the veil-canopy ¹  or step forward to the altar because he has a physical flaw. Thus ²  he must not profane my holy places, for I am the Lord who sanctifies them.’”

Outside the veil-canopy ¹  of the congregation in the Meeting Tent Aaron ²  must arrange it from evening until morning before the Lord continually. This is a perpetual statute throughout your generations. ³ 

The Lover to His Beloved: Oh, ²  you are beautiful, my darling! ³  Oh, you are beautiful! Your eyes behind your veil are like doves. ⁴  Your hair is like a flock of female goats descending ⁵  from Mount Gilead.

and not like Moses who used to put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites ¹  from staring ²  at the result ³  of the glory that was made ineffective. ⁴ 

But their minds were closed. ¹  For to this very day, the same veil remains when they hear the old covenant read. ²  It has not been removed because only in Christ is it taken away. ³
