and though my physical condition put you to the test, you did not despise or reject me. ¹  Instead, you welcomed me as though I were an angel of God, ²  as though I were Christ Jesus himself! ³ 

Though you have eyes, don’t you see? And though you have ears, can’t you hear? ¹  Don’t you remember?

For even though I am absent physically, ¹  I am present in spirit. And I have already judged the one who did this, just as though I were present. ² 

Remember those in prison as though you were in prison with them, ¹  and those ill-treated as though you too felt their torment. ² 

But they did not find anything, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally ¹  two came forward

Though ¹  they found ²  no basis ³  for a death sentence, ⁴  they asked Pilate to have him executed.

but Israel even though pursuing ¹  a law of righteousness ²  did not attain it. ³ 

For though we live ¹  as human beings, ²  we do not wage war according to human standards, ³ 

Obey ¹  with enthusiasm, as though serving the Lord ²  and not people,

For even if I made you sad ¹  by my letter, ²  I do not regret having written it ³  (even though I did regret it, ⁴  for ⁵  I see that my letter made you sad, ⁶  though only for a short time).

So they approached the village where they were going. He acted as though he wanted to go farther, ¹ 

Last of all, as though to one born at the wrong time, ¹  he appeared to me also.

I do not want to seem as though I am trying to terrify you with my letters,

even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you are saved! ¹  –

¹ who though he existed in the form of God ²  did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped,

though I am confident in the Lord that I too will be coming to see you ¹  soon.

Dear friend, ¹  you demonstrate faithfulness ²  by whatever you do for the brothers (even though they are strangers).

He goes to sleep and gets up, night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.

It is like a mustard seed ¹  that when sown in the ground, even though it is the smallest of all the seeds in the ground –

For ¹  a while he refused, but later on ²  he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor have regard for people, ³
