Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,

from Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai; ¹ 

from the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat son of Hori;

The descendants of Simeon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul,

From Simeon there were 7,100 warriors.

The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman. These were the clans of Simeon.

Those who will be camping next to them are the tribe of Simeon. The leader of the people of Simeon is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.

But Simeon and Levi replied, ¹  “Should he treat our sister like a common prostitute?”

Simeon and Levi are brothers, weapons of violence are their knives! ¹ 

Those of them who were numbered from the tribe of Simeon were 59,300.

The second lot belonged to the tribe of Simeon by its clans. ¹ 

They assigned from the tribes of Judah and Simeon the cities listed below.

These were the sons of Israel: ¹  Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah; Issachar and Zebulun;

Simeon’s assigned land was taken from Judah’s allotted portion, for Judah’s territory was too large for them; so Simeon was assigned land within Judah. ¹ 

The sons of Leah were Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, as well as Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.

The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Zohar, and Shaul (the son of a Canaanite woman).

They allotted these previously named cities from the territory of the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin. ¹ 

In the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, as far as Naphtali, and in the ruins ¹  around them,

Next to the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar will have one portion.
