Now I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus. ¹ 

Just as you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world. ¹ 

So ¹  he sent and had John beheaded in the prison.

A man came, sent from God, whose name was John. ¹ 

(Now they had been sent from the Pharisees. ¹ ) ² 

So ¹  he sent another slave. They beat this one too, treated him outrageously, and sent him away empty-handed. ² 

Therefore when you sent for me, ¹  I came without any objection. Now may I ask why ²  you sent for me?”

After ¹  they had spent some time there, ²  they were sent off in peace by the brothers to those who had sent them. ³ 

“Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. ¹ 

So ¹  he answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

And after agreeing with the workers for the standard wage, ¹  he sent them into his vineyard.

Again he sent other slaves, more than the first, and they treated them the same way.

Finally he sent his son to them, ¹  saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

Immediately Jesus ¹  sent the man ²  away with a very strong warning.

Jesus ¹  sent him home, saying, “Do not even go into the village.” ² 

But ¹  those tenants ²  seized his slave, ³  beat him, ⁴  and sent him away empty-handed. ⁵ 

Then ¹  they sent some of the Pharisees ²  and Herodians ³  to trap him with his own words. ⁴ 

he has filled the hungry with good things, ¹  and has sent the rich away empty. ² 

So ¹  when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the slave ²  well.

and he sent ¹  them out to proclaim ²  the kingdom of God ³  and to heal the sick. ⁴
