Then he had them forced away ¹  from the judgment seat. ² 

When I went out to the city gate and secured my seat in the public square, ¹ 

that he might seat him with princes, with the princes of his people.

“The ¹  experts in the law ²  and the Pharisees ³  sit on Moses’ seat.

Jonathan said to him, “Tomorrow is the new moon, and you will be missed, for your seat will be empty.

After Festus ¹  had stayed ²  not more than eight or ten days among them, he went down to Caesarea, ³  and the next day he sat ⁴  on the judgment seat ⁵  and ordered Paul to be brought.

Paul replied, ¹  “I am standing before Caesar’s ²  judgment seat, ³  where I should be tried. ⁴  I have done nothing wrong ⁵  to the Jews, as you also know very well. ⁶
