For our enemies’ ¹  rock is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede.

who turned a rock into a pool of water, a hard rock into springs of water! ¹ 

and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they were all drinking from the spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.

The Lord said, “Here ¹  is a place by me; you will station yourself ²  on a rock.

He will say, “Where are their gods, the rock in whom they sought security,

that with an iron chisel and with lead ¹  they were engraved in a rock forever!

Iron is taken from the ground, ¹  and rock is poured out ²  as copper.

Its heart ¹  is hard as rock, hard as a lower millstone.

He caused streams to flow from the rock, and made the water flow like rivers.

The wild goats live in the high mountains; ¹  the rock badgers find safety in the cliffs.

He opened up a rock and water flowed out; a river ran through dry regions.

How blessed will be the one who grabs your babies and smashes them on a rock! ¹ 

rock badgers ¹  are creatures with little power, but they make their homes in the crags;

Then Moses and Aaron gathered the community together in front of the rock, and he said to them, “Listen, you rebels, ¹  must we bring ²  water out of this rock for you?”

They do not thirst as he leads them through dry regions; he makes water flow out of a rock for them; he splits open a rock and water flows out.’ ¹ 

The rock badger ¹  is unclean to you because it chews the cud even though its hoof is not divided.

You have forgotten ¹  the Rock who fathered you, and put out of mind the God who gave you birth.

But as ¹  a mountain falls away and crumbles, ²  and as a rock will be removed from its place,

On the flinty rock man has set to work ¹  with his hand; he has overturned mountains at their bases. ² 

when my steps ¹  were bathed ²  with butter ³  and the rock poured out for me streams of olive oil! ⁴
