She forgets that a foot might crush them, or that a wild animal ¹  might trample them.

Make the hearts of these people calloused; make their ears deaf and their eyes blind! Otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears, their hearts might understand and they might repent and be healed.” ¹ 

He has done this so ¹  all the nations ²  of the earth might recognize the Lord’s power ³  and so you might always obey ⁴  the Lord your God.”

For he ¹  is not a human being like I am, that ²  I might answer him, that we might come ³  together in judgment.

Predict how future events will turn out, ¹  so we might know you are gods. Yes, do something good or bad, so we might be frightened and in awe. ² 

Who knows? ¹  Perhaps God might be willing to change his mind and relent ²  and turn from his fierce anger ³  so that we might not die.” ⁴ 

Abraham said to God, “O that ¹  Ishmael might live before you!” ² 

and he displayed great power ¹  and awesome might in view of all Israel. ² 

Nor is there an arbiter ¹  between us, who ²  might lay ³  his hand on us both, ⁴ 

“Dominion ¹  and awesome might ²  belong to ³  God; he establishes peace in his heights. ⁴ 

that it might seize the corners of the earth, ¹  and shake the wicked out of it?

so that he might continue to live ¹  forever and not experience death. ² 

Give us help against the enemy, for any help men might offer is futile. ¹ 

Then I said, “I am sickened by the thought that the sovereign One ¹  might become inactive. ² 

Cover ¹  their faces with shame, so they might seek ²  you, ³  O Lord.

So teach us to consider our mortality, ¹  so that we might live wisely. ² 

so that they might keep his commands and obey ¹  his laws. Praise the Lord!

Yet he delivered them for the sake of his reputation, ¹  that he might reveal his power.

Give us help against the enemy, for any help men might offer is futile. ¹ 

that he might seat him with princes, with the princes of his people.
