For my husband ¹  is not at home; ²  he has gone on a journey of some distance.

So they traveled from the mountain of the Lord three days’ journey; ¹  and the ark of the covenant of the Lord was traveling before them during the three days’ journey, to find a resting place for them.

Silently the man watched her with interest to determine ¹  if the Lord had made his journey successful ²  or not.

Now it is ordinarily an eleven-day journey ¹  from Horeb ²  to Kadesh Barnea ³  by way of Mount Seir. ⁴ 

no bag ¹  for the journey, or an extra tunic, ²  or sandals or staff, ³  for the worker deserves his provisions.

¹ “I am going to send ²  an angel ³  before you to protect you as you journey ⁴  and to bring you into the place that I have prepared. ⁵ 

but if the cloud was not lifted up, then they would not journey further until the day it was lifted up. ¹ 

When the cloud remained over the tabernacle many days, then the Israelites obeyed the instructions ¹  of the Lord and did not journey.

This was the first time they set out on their journey according to the commandment ¹  of the Lord, by the authority ²  of Moses.
