In the beginning ¹  God ²  created ³  the heavens and the earth. ⁴ 

The heavens declare his fairness, ¹  for God is judge. ²  (Selah)

The heavens – indeed the highest heavens – belong to the Lord your God, as does the earth and everything in it.

This is the account ¹  of the heavens and the earth ²  when they were created – when the Lord God ³  made the earth and heavens. ⁴ 

The heavens and the earth ¹  were completed with everything that was in them. ² 

Listen, O heavens, and I will speak; hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.

From the sky ¹  the stars ²  fought, from their paths in the heavens ³  they fought against Sisera.

For all the gods of the nations are worthless, ¹  but the Lord made the heavens. ² 

Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth be happy! Let the nations say, ¹  ‘The Lord reigns!’

he alone spreads out the heavens, and treads ¹  on the waves of the sea; ² 

Even though his stature ¹  reaches to the heavens and his head touches the clouds,

The heavens reveal his iniquity; the earth rises up against him.

The pillars ¹  of the heavens tremble and are amazed at his rebuke. ² 

For he looks to the ends of the earth and observes everything under the heavens.

Gaze at the heavens and see; consider the clouds, which are higher than you! ¹ 

The heavens belong to the Lord, ¹  but the earth he has given to mankind. ² 

to the one who used wisdom to make the heavens, for his loyal love endures,

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the sky! Praise him in the heavens!

By wisdom the Lord laid the foundation of the earth; ¹  he established the heavens by understanding. ² 

Be amazed at this, O heavens! ¹  Be shocked and utterly dumbfounded,” says the Lord.
