who speak lies, and make false promises. ¹ 

“You shall not give ¹  false testimony ²  against your neighbor.

You must not offer false testimony against another. ¹ 

And many false prophets will appear and deceive ¹  many,

Some stood up and gave this false testimony against him: ¹ 

For false messiahs ¹  and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, the elect.

The judges will thoroughly investigate the matter, and if the witness should prove to be false and to have given false testimony against the accused, ¹ 

those who bear false testimony against a person, ¹  who entrap the one who arbitrates at the city gate ²  and deprive the innocent of justice by making false charges. ³ 

For false messiahs ¹  and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

If a false ¹  witness testifies against another person and accuses him of a crime, ² 

a false witness who pours out lies, ¹  and a person who spreads discord ²  among family members. ³ 

The faithful witness ¹  tells what is right, ²  but a false witness ³  speaks ⁴  deceit.

The righteous person hates anything false, ¹  but the wicked person acts in shameful disgrace. ² 

A truthful witness ¹  does not lie, but a false witness ²  breathes out lies. ³ 

A false witness will not go unpunished, and the one who spouts out ¹  lies will perish. ² 

For out of the heart come evil ideas, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

But they did not find anything, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally ¹  two came forward

Many gave false testimony against him, but their testimony did not agree.

For such people are false apostles, deceitful ¹  workers, disguising themselves ²  as apostles of Christ.

Consequently ¹  God sends on them a deluding influence ²  so that they will believe what is false.
