So a decree went out, and the wise men were about ¹  to be executed. They also sought ²  Daniel and his friends so that they could be executed.

He also tore down the tower of Penuel and executed the city’s men.

They executed his miraculous signs among them, ¹  and his amazing deeds in the land of Ham.

Two other criminals ¹  were also led away to be executed with him.
