Then Moses raised his hand, and struck the rock twice with his staff. And water came out abundantly. So the community drank, and their beasts drank too.

When he drank some of the wine, he got drunk and uncovered himself ¹  inside his tent.

So the prophet went back with him and ate and drank in his house. ¹ 

I dug wells and drank water. ¹  With the soles of my feet I dried up all the rivers of Egypt.’

As they drank wine, they praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.

Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and lentil stew; Esau ate and drank, then got up and went out. ¹  So Esau despised his birthright. ²

He looked and right there by his head was a cake baking on hot coals and a jug of water. He ate and drank and then slept some more. ¹ 

So he got up and ate and drank. That meal gave him the strength to travel forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.
