They willfully challenged God ¹  by asking for food to satisfy their appetite.

May his children ¹  roam around begging, asking for handouts as they leave their ruined home! ² 

Whoever corrects ¹  a mocker is asking for ²  insult; ³  whoever reproves a wicked person receives ⁴  abuse.

When he entered Capernaum, ¹  a centurion ²  came to him asking for help: ³ 

So ¹  the crowds were asking ²  him, “What then should we do?”

Others, to test ¹  him, ²  began asking for ³  a sign ⁴  from heaven.

So the Jewish leaders ¹  were looking for him at the feast, asking, “Where is he?” ² 

So Samuel spoke all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king.

I ¹  have not even permitted my mouth ²  to sin by asking ³  for his life through a curse –

Then the Pharisees ¹  came and began to argue with Jesus, asking for ²  a sign from heaven ³  to test him.

They had been asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?”

So when the Samaritans came to him, they began asking ¹  him to stay with them. ²  He stayed there two days,

Then the people said to Samuel, “Who were the ones asking, ‘Will Saul reign over us?’ Hand over those men so we may execute them!”

Samuel said, “Why are you asking me, now that the Lord has turned away from you and has become your enemy?

We inquired of those elders, asking them, ‘Who gave you the authority to rebuild this temple and to complete this structure?’

So I registered a complaint with the leaders, asking “Why is the temple of God neglected?” Then I gathered them and reassigned them to their positions. ¹ 

Then those officials who had gone to the king ¹  came by collusion and found Daniel praying and asking for help before his God.

While Jesus ¹  was still speaking to the crowds, ²  his mother and brothers ³  came and ⁴  stood outside, asking ⁵  to speak to him.

Now ¹  a leper ²  came to him and fell to his knees, asking for help. “If ³  you are willing, you can make me clean,” he said.

After ¹  three days ²  they found him in the temple courts, ³  sitting among the teachers, ⁴  listening to them and asking them questions.
