and if ¹  I ask you, you will not ²  answer.

For Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks ask for wisdom,

Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard what I said. ¹  They ²  know what I said.”

you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so you can spend it on your passions.
