So do not be afraid; ¹  you are more valuable than many sparrows.

But immediately Jesus ¹  spoke to them: ²  “Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”

But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Do not be afraid.”

The ¹  guards were shaken and became like dead men because they were so afraid of him.

(For they were afraid, and he did not know what to say.) ¹ 

But they did not understand this statement and were afraid to ask him.

But he said to them, “It is I. Do not be afraid.”

When Pilate heard what they said, ¹  he was more afraid than ever, ² 

When ¹  the crowd saw this, they were afraid ²  and honored God who had given such authority to men. ³ 

But when he saw the strong wind he became afraid. And starting to sink, he cried out, ¹  “Lord, save me!”

They wanted to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowds, because the crowds ¹  regarded him as a prophet.

so ¹  I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what is yours.’

But Jesus, paying no attention to what was said, told the synagogue ruler, “Do not be afraid; just believe.”

So ¹  the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, ²  Mary, for you have found favor ³  with God!

But when Jesus heard this, he told ¹  him, “Do not be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” ² 

As ¹  he was saying this, a cloud ²  came ³  and overshadowed ⁴  them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is well pleased ¹  to give you the kingdom.

“Do not be afraid, people of Zion; ¹  look, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt!” ² 

“Do ¹  not be afraid of them, for nothing is hidden ²  that will not be revealed, ³  and nothing is secret that will not be made known.

But the angel said ¹  to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know ²  that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. ³
