The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” nor in turn can the head say to the foot, “I do not need you.”

They replied, “The Lord needs it.”

Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “Why do we still need witnesses?

Then ¹  they said, “Why do we need further testimony? We have heard it ourselves ²  from his own lips!” ³ 

and they began selling ¹  their property ²  and possessions and distributing the proceeds ³  to everyone, as anyone had need.

and placing them at the apostles’ feet. The proceeds ¹  were distributed to each, as anyone had need.

For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised. ¹ 

Do ¹  not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

But he ¹  replied, “They don’t need to go. You ²  give them something to eat.”

Jesus ¹  answered them, “Those who are well don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do. ² 

Now on the topic of times and seasons, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  you have no need for anything to be written to you.

For though you should in fact be teachers by this time, ¹  you need someone to teach you the beginning elements of God’s utterances. ²  You have gone back to needing ³  milk, not ⁴  solid food.

At the present time, your abundance will meet their need, ¹  so that one day their abundance may also meet your need, and thus there may be equality,

For all the nations of the world pursue ¹  these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

Then the high priest tore his clothes and declared, ¹  “He has blasphemed! Why do we still need witnesses? Now ²  you have heard the blasphemy!

Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? We don’t need letters of recommendation to you or from you as some other people do, do we? ¹ 

Now on the topic of brotherly love ¹  you have no need for anyone to write you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help. ¹ 

Instead, you must be sure to open your hand to him and generously lend ¹  him whatever he needs. ² 

So the Levites no longer need to carry the tabernacle or any of the items used in its service.”
