Moses went up the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

The mountain of Bashan ¹  is a towering mountain; ²  the mountain of Bashan is a mountain with many peaks. ³ 

Moses went into the cloud when he went up ¹  the mountain, and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights. ² 

So I turned and went down the mountain while it ¹  was blazing with fire; the two tablets of the covenant were in my hands.

the ibex, ¹  the gazelle, ²  the deer, ³  the wild goat, the antelope, ⁴  the wild oryx, ⁵  and the mountain sheep. ⁶ 

After he came down from the mountain, large crowds followed him.

So ¹  the eleven disciples went to Galilee to the mountain Jesus had designated.

For they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned.” ¹ 

You must set boundaries ¹  for the people all around, saying, ‘Take heed ²  to yourselves not to go up on the mountain nor touch its edge. Whoever touches the mountain will surely be put to death!

You approached and stood at the foot of the mountain, a mountain ablaze to the sky above it ¹  and yet dark with a thick cloud. ² 

The Lord says, ‘I have returned to Zion and will live within Jerusalem. ¹  Now Jerusalem will be called “truthful city,” “mountain of the Lord who rules over all,” “holy mountain.”’

After saying good-bye to them, he went to the mountain to pray.

The Philistines were standing on one hill, and the Israelites ¹  on another hill, with the valley between them.

So Moses set out ¹  with ²  Joshua his attendant, and Moses went up the mountain of God.

Now be sure to make ¹  them according to the pattern you were shown ²  on the mountain. ³ 

You are to set up the tabernacle according to the plan ¹  that you were shown on the mountain.

The Lord our God spoke to us at Horeb and said, “You have stayed ¹  in the area of this mountain long enough.

Now on ¹  the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.

When this voice was conveyed from heaven, we ourselves ¹  heard it, for we were with him on the holy mountain. ² 

No one is to come up with you; do not let anyone be seen anywhere on the mountain; not even the flocks or the herds may graze in front of that mountain.”
