One who beats an animal to death ¹  must make restitution for it, but ²  one who beats a person to death must be put to death.

He struck down the firstborn of Egypt, including both men and animals.

you animals and all you cattle, you creeping things and birds,

You must not have sexual intercourse ¹  with any animal to become defiled with it, and a woman must not stand before an animal to have sexual intercourse with it; ²  it is a perversion. ³ 

“Whoever has sexual relations ¹  with a beast must surely be put to death.

One who beats an animal to death ¹  must make restitution for it, life for life. ² 

any kind of land animal, any bird that flies in the sky,

‘Cursed is the one who commits bestiality.’ ¹  Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

He made storerooms for the harvest of grain, wine, and olive oil, and stalls for all his various kinds of livestock and his flocks. ¹ 

Because of his success ¹  he offers sacrifices to his throw net and burns incense to his dragnet; ²  for because of them he has plenty of food, ³  and more than enough to eat. ⁴ 

“I, the Lord, say: ¹  ‘You and your people are saying ²  about this place, “It lies in ruins. There are no people or animals in it.” That is true. The towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem ³  will soon be desolate, uninhabited either by people or by animals. But happy sounds will again be heard in these places.

God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: cattle, creeping things, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” ¹  It was so.

then you must give over ¹  to the Lord the first offspring of every womb. ²  Every firstling ³  of a beast that you have ⁴  – the males will be the Lord’s. ⁵ 

If a woman approaches any animal to have sexual intercourse with it, ¹  you must kill the woman, and the animal must be put to death; their blood guilt is on themselves.

“‘If what is vowed is a kind of animal from which an offering may be presented ¹  to the Lord, anything which he gives to the Lord from this kind of animal ²  will be holy.

If what is vowed is an unclean animal from which an offering must not be presented to the Lord, then he must stand the animal before the priest,

You may eat any animal that has hooves divided into two parts and that chews the cud. ¹ 

I also thought to myself, “It is ¹  for the sake of people, ²  so God can clearly ³  show ⁴  them that they are like animals.

“Indeed, a time is coming,” ¹  says the Lord, ²  “when I will cause people and animals to sprout up in the lands of Israel and Judah. ³ 

No human foot will pass through it, and no animal’s foot will pass through it; it will be uninhabited for forty years.
