A tempest blows out from its chamber, icy cold from the driving winds. ¹ 

Their swords will pierce ¹  their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

Listen to my appeal for mercy! ¹  Deliver me, as you promised. ² 

But there will be delight ¹  for those who convict ²  the guilty, ³  and a pleasing blessing ⁴  will come on them.

But as for you, ¹  you will go to your ancestors ²  in peace and be buried at a good old age. ³ 

But now the same thing ¹  comes to you, and you are discouraged; ²  it strikes you, and you are terrified. ³ 

You will come to your grave in a full age, ¹  As stacks of grain are harvested in their season.

“Oh that ¹  my request would be realized, ²  and that God would grant me what I long for! ³ 

Does God listen to his cry when distress overtakes him?

“But wisdom – where does it come from? ¹  Where is the place of understanding?

Listen to my prayer! ¹  Pay attention ²  to my cry for help!

For wisdom will enter your heart, ¹  and moral knowledge ²  will be attractive ³  to you. ⁴ 

“‘Do not go to a house where people are feasting and sit down to eat and drink with them either.

David asked him, “Where are you coming from?” He replied, “I have escaped from the camp of Israel.”

Micaiah replied, “Look, you will see in the day when you go into an inner room to hide.”

when I said, ‘To here you may come ¹  and no farther, ²  here your proud waves will be confined’? ³ 

But he will join his ancestors; ¹  they will never again see the light of day. ² 

Listen to the painful cries of the prisoners! ¹  Use your great strength to set free those condemned to die! ² 

I will walk in ¹  the way of integrity. When will you come to me? I will conduct my business with integrity in the midst of my palace. ² 

Do not sit in judgment on ¹  your servant, for no one alive is innocent before you. ²
