That day will be a day of God’s anger, ¹  a day of distress and hardship, a day of devastation and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and dark skies,

For the day is near, the day of the Lord is near; it will be a day of storm clouds, ¹  it will be a time of judgment ²  for the nations.

It will be a day for rebuilding your walls; in that day your boundary will be extended. ¹ 

Then I will sing praises to your name continually, ¹  as I fulfill ²  my vows day after day.

The Lord deserves praise! ¹  Day after day ²  he carries our burden, the God who delivers us. (Selah)
