The earth is broken in pieces, the earth is ripped to shreds, the earth shakes violently. ¹ 

I carefully obey your commands; ¹  I do not deviate from them. ² 

Even if the mountains are removed and the hills displaced, my devotion will not be removed from you, nor will my covenant of friendship ¹  be displaced,” says the Lord, the one who has compassion on you.

The folds ¹  of its flesh are tightly joined; they are firm on it, immovable. ² 

I constantly trust in the Lord; ¹  because he is at my right hand, I will not be upended.

In my self-confidence I said, “I will never be upended.” ¹ 

You made the earth quake; you split it open. ¹  Repair its breaches, for it is ready to fall. ² 

He alone is my protector ¹  and deliverer. He is my refuge; ²  I will not be upended. ³ 

If I say, “My foot is slipping,” your loyal love, O Lord, supports me.

He established the earth on its foundations; it will never be upended.

For he will never be upended; others will always remember one who is just. ¹ 

The righteous will never be moved, but the wicked will not inhabit the land. ¹ 

No one ¹  can be established ²  through wickedness, but a righteous root ³  cannot be moved.

Deliver those being taken away to death, and hold back those slipping to the slaughter. ¹ 

Like a muddied ¹  spring and a polluted ²  well, so is a righteous person who gives way ³  before the wicked.

“‘If your brother ¹  becomes impoverished and is indebted to you, ²  you must support ³  him; he must live ⁴  with you like a foreign resident. ⁵ 

Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is established, it cannot be moved.

He says to himself, ¹  “I will never ²  be upended, because I experience no calamity.” ³ 

Then ¹  my enemy will say, “I have defeated him!” Then ²  my foes will rejoice because I am upended.

For the king trusts ¹  in the Lord, and because of the sovereign Lord’s ²  faithfulness he is not upended. ³
