Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,

The father of Gibeon ¹  lived in Gibeon; his wife’s name was Maacah.

Jeiel (the father of Gibeon) lived in Gibeon. His wife was Maacah.

When the residents of Gibeon heard what Joshua did to Jericho ¹  and Ai,

Joshua conquered the area between Kadesh Barnea and Gaza and the whole region of Goshen, all the way to Gibeon. ¹ 

From the tribe of Benjamin they assigned ¹  Gibeon, Geba,

Then Abner son of Ner and the servants of Ish-bosheth son of Saul went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.

the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, in the same way he had appeared to him at Gibeon. ¹ 

David did just as God commanded him, and they struck down the Philistine army from Gibeon to Gezer.

Zadok the priest and his fellow priests served ¹  before the Lord’s tabernacle at the worship center ²  in Gibeon,

Now the Lord’s tabernacle (which Moses had made in the wilderness) and the altar for burnt sacrifices were at that time at the worship center ¹  in Gibeon.

Solomon left the meeting tent at the worship center in Gibeon and went to Jerusalem, where he reigned over Israel. ¹ 

So the Israelites set out and on the third day arrived at their cities – Gibeon, Kephirah, Beeroth, and Kiriath Jearim.

All Jerusalem was terrified ¹  because Gibeon was a large city, like one of the royal cities. It was larger than Ai and all its men were warriors.

“Come to my aid ¹  so we can attack Gibeon, for it has made peace with Joshua and the Israelites.”

The Lord routed ¹  them before Israel. Israel ²  thoroughly defeated them ³  at Gibeon. They chased them up the road to the pass ⁴  of Beth Horon and struck them down all the way to Azekah and Makkedah.

No city made peace with the Israelites (except the Hivites living in Gibeon); ¹  they had to conquer all of them, ² 

As they grappled with one another, each one stabbed his opponent with his sword and they fell dead together. ¹  So that place is called the Field of Flints; ²  it is in Gibeon.

So Joab and his brother Abishai killed Abner, because he had killed their brother Asahel in Gibeon during the battle.
