Do not give the devil an opportunity.

So ¹  the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, ‘Give this man your place.’ Then, ashamed, ²  you will begin to move to the least important ³  place.

to assume the task ¹  of this service ²  and apostleship from which Judas turned aside ³  to go to his own place.” ⁴ 

They ¹  came to a place called Golgotha ²  (which means “Place of the Skull”) ³ 

So they went away by themselves in a boat to some remote place.

They brought Jesus ¹  to a place called Golgotha ²  (which is translated, “Place of the Skull”). ³ 

So ¹  the news ²  about him spread into all areas of the region. ³ 

So too a Levite, when he came up to ¹  the place and saw him, ²  passed by on the other side.

Now ¹  the spirits ²  gathered the kings and their armies ³  to the place that is called Armageddon ⁴  in Hebrew.

He is not here, for he has been raised, ¹  just as he said. Come and see the place where he ²  was lying.

Then ¹  Jesus ²  got up early in the morning when it was still very dark, departed, and went out to a deserted place, and there he spent time in prayer. ³ 

and carrying his own cross ¹  he went out to the place called “The Place of the Skull” ²  (called in Aramaic ³  Golgotha). ⁴ 

Now when Jesus heard this he went away from there privately in a boat to an isolated place. But when the crowd heard about it, ¹  they followed him on foot from the towns. ² 

Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back in its place! ¹  For all who take hold of the sword will die by the sword.

and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He ¹  unrolled ²  the scroll and found the place where it was written,

(for I have five brothers) to warn ¹  them so that they don’t come ²  into this place of torment.’

So ¹  when they came to the place that is called “The Skull,” ²  they crucified ³  him there, along with the criminals, one on his right and one on his left.

Jesus ¹  went back across the Jordan River ²  again to the place where John ³  had been baptizing at an earlier time, ⁴  and he stayed there.

If we allow him to go on in this way, ¹  everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away our sanctuary ²  and our nation.”

There are many dwelling places ¹  in my Father’s house. ²  Otherwise, I would have told you, because ³  I am going away to make ready ⁴  a place for you. ⁵
