Then the eunuch said ¹  to Philip, “Please tell me, ²  who is the prophet saying this about – himself or someone else?” ³ 

Jesus ¹  said to them, “Whose image ²  is this, and whose inscription?”

He then ¹  told them a parable: ²  “The land of a certain rich man produced ³  an abundant crop,

The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexed ¹  to know which of them he was talking about.

(Now seven sons of a man named ¹  Sceva, a Jewish high priest, were doing this.) ² 

If what someone has built survives, he will receive a reward.

For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had married her.” ¹ 

“What do you think about the Christ? ¹  Whose son is he?” They said, “The son of David.” ² 

In the resurrection, when they rise again, ¹  whose wife will she be? For all seven had married her.” ² 

A centurion ¹  there ²  had a slave ³  who was highly regarded, ⁴  but who was sick and at the point of death.

“Show me a denarius. ¹  Whose image ²  and inscription are on it?” ³  They said, “Caesar’s.”

In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife will the woman be? ¹  For all seven had married her.” ² 

nor is he served by human hands, as if he needed anything, ¹  because he himself gives life and breath and everything to everyone. ² 

If someone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss. ¹  He himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

So ¹  they brought one, and he said to them, “Whose image ²  is this, and whose inscription?” They replied, ³  “Caesar’s.”

Now ¹  one Sabbath when Jesus went to dine ²  at the house of a leader ³  of the Pharisees, ⁴  they were watching ⁵  him closely.

Then ¹  he said to them, “Which of you, if you have a son ²  or an ox that has fallen into a well on a Sabbath day, will not immediately pull him out?”

“When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, ¹  do not take ²  the place of honor, because a person more distinguished than you may have been invited by your host. ³ 

Then ¹  Jesus ²  said to them, “When I sent you out with no money bag, ³  or traveler’s bag, ⁴  or sandals, you didn’t lack ⁵  anything, did you?” They replied, ⁶  “Nothing.”
