So they spent ¹  considerable ²  time with the disciples.

For ¹  a period of about forty years he put up with ²  them in the wilderness. ³ 

After ¹  they had spent some time there, ²  they were sent off in peace by the brothers to those who had sent them. ³ 

When they asked him to stay longer, he would not consent, ¹ 

in that he spends the rest of his time ¹  on earth concerned about the will of God and not human desires.

Then Herod ¹  privately summoned the wise men and determined from them when the star had appeared.

After ¹  a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled his accounts with them.

Then Jesus said, “I will be with you for only a little while longer, ¹  and then ²  I am going to the one who sent me.

After he spent ¹  some time there, Paul left and went through the region of Galatia ²  and Phrygia, ³  strengthening all the disciples.

Now I mean that the heir, as long as he is a minor, ¹  is no different from a slave, though he is the owner ²  of everything.

I ¹  have given her time to repent, but ²  she is not willing to repent of her sexual immorality.

For ¹  a while he refused, but later on ²  he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor have regard for people, ³ 

When Jesus saw him lying there and when he realized ¹  that the man ²  had been disabled a long time already, he said to him, “Do you want to become well?”

So after sending ¹  two of his assistants, ²  Timothy and Erastus, to Macedonia, ³  he himself stayed on for a while in the province of Asia. ⁴ 

Or do you not know, brothers and sisters ¹  (for I am speaking to those who know the law), that the law is lord over a person ²  as long as he lives?

For I do not want to see you now in passing, since I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord allows.

And if you address as Father the one who impartially judges according to each one’s work, live out the time of your temporary residence here ¹  in reverence.

Jesus ¹  said to them, “The wedding guests ²  cannot fast while the bridegroom ³  is with them, can they? ⁴  As long as they have the bridegroom with them they do not fast.

Jesus replied, ¹  “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known ²  me, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

So they stayed there ¹  for a considerable time, speaking out courageously for the Lord, who testified ²  to the message ³  of his grace, granting miraculous signs ⁴  and wonders to be performed through their hands.
