that we, being rescued from the hand of our ¹  enemies, may serve him without fear, ² 

But Jesus gently took his hand and raised him to his feet, and he stood up.

that we should be saved ¹  from our enemies, ²  and from the hand of all who hate us.

But Jesus ¹  gently took her by the hand and said, ²  “Child, get up.”

Then ¹  they attempted ²  again to seize him, but he escaped their clutches. ³

The ¹  smoke coming from the incense, ²  along with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.

Then, gently taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up.”

I give ¹  them eternal life, and they will never perish; ²  no one will snatch ³  them from my hand.

My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, ¹  and no one can snatch ²  them from my Father’s hand.

Then ¹  Peter ²  took hold ³  of him by the right hand and raised him up, and at once the man’s ⁴  feet and ankles were made strong. ⁵
