This is the first and greatest ¹  commandment.

Then ¹  Jesus ²  said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” ³ 

When ¹  the Lord saw her, he had compassion ²  for her and said to her, “Do not weep.” ³ 

but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering. ¹ 

(Now this is love: that we walk ¹  according to his commandments.) This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning; thus ²  you should walk in it. ³ 

Repay her the same way she repaid others; ¹  pay her back double ²  corresponding to her deeds. In the cup she mixed, mix double the amount for her.

“And look, ¹  your relative ²  Elizabeth has also become pregnant with ³  a son in her old age – although she was called barren, she is now in her sixth month! ⁴ 

With it we bless the Lord ¹  and Father, and with it we curse people ²  made in God’s image.

And this is the testimony: God ¹  has given us eternal life, ²  and this life is in his Son.

“It was said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife must give her a legal document.’ ¹ 

And the news of this spread throughout that region. ¹ 

so much that he promised with an oath ¹  to give her whatever she asked.

Jesus ¹  said to them, “Whose image ²  is this, and whose inscription?”

The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ¹ 

When ¹  the disciples saw this, they became indignant and said, “Why this waste?

And if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.” ¹ 

This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?” ¹ 

And blessed ¹  is she who believed that ²  what was spoken to her by ³  the Lord would be fulfilled.” ⁴ 

This was the first registration, taken when Quirinius was governor ¹  of Syria.

Then ¹  his disciples asked him what this parable meant. ²
