But Peter ¹  said to him, “Explain this parable to us.”

He ¹  answered, “Elijah does indeed come first and will restore all things.

The boy answered, ¹  ‘I will not.’ But later he had a change of heart ²  and went.

Jesus spoke ¹  to them again in parables, saying:

Jesus answered them, ¹  “Watch out ²  that no one misleads you.

But he replied, ¹  ‘I tell you the truth, ²  I do not know you!’

He answered them and said, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” ¹ 

He answered them, ¹  “What did Moses command you?”

Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God.

Jesus answered them, ¹  “Go tell John what you hear and see: ² 

He ¹  answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man.

So ¹  he answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

He ¹  said, “When evening comes you say, ‘It will be fair weather, because the sky is red,’

Simon Peter answered, ¹  “You are the Christ, ²  the Son of the living God.”

And the landowner ¹  replied to one of them, ²  ‘Friend, I am not treating you unfairly. Didn’t you agree with me to work for the standard wage? ³ 

Peter ¹  said to him, “If they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away!”

In ¹  reply all the people said, “Let his blood be on us and on our children!”

Jesus said to them, “Have you come with swords and clubs to arrest me like you would an outlaw? ¹ 

Jesus ¹  answered him, ²  “It is said, ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’” ³ 

But the Lord ¹  answered her, ²  “Martha, Martha, ³  you are worried and troubled ⁴  about many things,
