Philip went and told Andrew, and they both ¹  went and told Jesus.

Philip and Bartholomew; ¹  Thomas ²  and Matthew the tax collector; ³  James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; ⁴ 

(Now Philip was from Bethsaida, ¹  the town of ²  Andrew and Peter.)

Philip said, ¹  “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be content.” ² 

Philip went down to the main city of Samaria ¹  and began proclaiming ²  the Christ ³  to them.

Simon ¹  (whom he named Peter), and his brother Andrew; and James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, ² 

Philip replied, ¹  “Two hundred silver coins worth ²  of bread would not be enough for them, for each one to get a little.”

Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”

For Herod had arrested John, bound him, ¹  and put him in prison on account of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife,

and Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, ¹  Matthew, Thomas, ²  James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, ³  Simon the Zealot, ⁴ 

On the next day Jesus ¹  wanted to set out for Galilee. ²  He ³  found Philip and said ⁴  to him, “Follow me.”

Nathanael ¹  replied, ²  “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” ³  Philip replied, ⁴  “Come and see.”

So these approached Philip, ¹  who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested, ²  “Sir, we would like to see Jesus.”

The crowds were paying attention with one mind to what Philip said, ¹  as they heard and saw the miraculous signs ²  he was performing.

But when they believed Philip as he was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God ¹  and the name of Jesus Christ, ²  they began to be baptized, ³  both men and women.

Even Simon himself believed, and after he was baptized, he stayed close to ¹  Philip constantly, and when he saw the signs and great miracles that were occurring, he was amazed. ² 

So Philip ran up ¹  to it ²  and heard the man ³  reading Isaiah the prophet. He ⁴  asked him, ⁵  “Do you understand what you’re reading?”

The man ¹  replied, “How in the world can I, ²  unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

Then the eunuch said ¹  to Philip, “Please tell me, ²  who is the prophet saying this about – himself or someone else?” ³ 

So Philip started speaking, ¹  and beginning with this scripture ²  proclaimed the good news about Jesus to him.
