And whatever you ask in prayer, if you believe, ¹  you will receive.”

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.

I do not cease to give thanks for you when I remember you ¹  in my prayers.

Be devoted to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.

We thank God always for all of you as we mention you constantly ¹  in our prayers,

First of all, then, I urge that requests, ¹  prayers, intercessions, and thanks be offered on behalf of all people, ² 

I always thank my God ¹  as I remember you in my prayers, ² 

For the culmination of all things is near. So be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of prayer. ¹ 

He told them, “This kind can come out only by prayer.” ¹ 

When ¹  he got up from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, exhausted ²  from grief.

Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time ¹  for prayer, ²  at three o’clock in the afternoon. ³ 

and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your acts of charity ¹  have been remembered before God. ² 

At the same time also, prepare a place for me to stay, for I hope that through your prayers I will be given back to you.

The ¹  smoke coming from the incense, ²  along with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.

And he said to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ ¹  but you are turning it into a den ²  of robbers!” ³ 

Now ¹  it was during this time that Jesus ²  went out to the mountain ³  to pray, and he spent all night ⁴  in prayer to God. ⁵ 

saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be a house of prayer,’ ¹  but you have turned it into a den ²  of robbers!” ³ 

All these continued together in prayer with one mind, together with the women, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers. ¹ 

They were devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, ¹  to the breaking of bread and to prayer. ²
