Do we not have the right to financial support? ¹ 

and offered Jesus ¹  wine mixed with gall to drink. ²  But after tasting it, he would not drink it.

For the one who eats and drinks without careful regard ¹  for the body eats and drinks judgment against himself.

and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they were all drinking from the spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon!’ ¹ 

And after taking the cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it.

For ¹  three days he could not see, and he neither ate nor drank anything. ² 

Jesus ¹  answered, “You don’t know what you are asking! ²  Are you able to drink the cup I am about to drink?” ³  They said to him, “We are able.” ⁴ 

I ¹  tell you, from now on I will not drink of this fruit ²  of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I experience?” ¹ 

They said to him, “We are able.” ¹  Then Jesus said to them, “You will drink the cup I drink, and you will be baptized with the baptism I experience,

I tell you the truth, ¹  I will no longer drink of the fruit ²  of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”

Won’t ¹  the master ²  instead say to him, ‘Get my dinner ready, and make yourself ready ³  to serve me while ⁴  I eat and drink. Then ⁵  you may eat and drink’?

So then, don’t worry saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’

and he begins to beat his fellow slaves and to eat and drink with drunkards,

And after taking the cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you,

¹  No ²  one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’” ³ 

For John the Baptist has come ¹  eating no bread and drinking no wine, ²  and you say, ‘He has a demon!’ ³ 

So ¹  do not be overly concerned about ²  what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not worry about such things. ³ 

Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’ ¹
