The one who says he resides ¹  in God ²  ought himself to walk ³  just as Jesus ⁴  walked.

for we live ¹  by faith, not by sight.

For though we live ¹  as human beings, ²  we do not wage war according to human standards, ³ 

After this ¹  Jesus traveled throughout Galilee. ²  He ³  stayed out of Judea ⁴  because the Jewish leaders ⁵  wanted ⁶  to kill him.

He ¹  jumped up, ²  stood and began walking around, and he entered the temple courts ³  with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

So I say this, and insist ¹  in the Lord, that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility ²  of their thinking. ³ 

As the night was ending, ¹  Jesus came to them walking on the sea. ² 

Regaining his sight ¹  he said, “I see people, but they look like trees walking.”

Gazing at Jesus as he walked by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!” ¹ 

It was winter, ¹  and Jesus was walking in the temple area ²  in Solomon’s Portico. ³ 

All ¹  the people saw him walking and praising God,

But I say, live ¹  by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. ² 

for you were at one time darkness, but now you are ¹  light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light –

Therefore be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise,

Therefore, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, ¹  continue to live your lives ²  in him,

You also lived your lives ¹  in this way at one time, when you used to live among them.

Conduct yourselves ¹  with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunities.

In this way you will live ¹  a decent life before outsiders and not be in need. ² 

For we hear that some among you are living an undisciplined life, ¹  not doing their own work but meddling in the work of others. ² 

Finally then, brothers and sisters, ¹  we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received instruction from us about how ²  you must live and please God (as you are in fact living) ³  that you do so more and more.
