Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will. ¹ 

(They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father.) ¹ 

The Father and I ¹  are one.” ² 

And call no one your ‘father’ on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.

So ¹  the rich man ²  said, ‘Then I beg you, father – send Lazarus ³  to my father’s house

For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ ¹  and, ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’ ² 

The ¹  younger of them said to his ²  father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate ³  that will belong ⁴  to me.’ So ⁵  he divided his ⁶  assets between them. ⁷ 

I will get up and go to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned ¹  against heaven ²  and against ³  you.

(Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God – he ¹  has seen the Father.) ² 

Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so the one who consumes ¹  me will live because of me.

I am telling you the things I have seen while with the ¹  Father; ²  as for you, ³  practice the things you have heard from the ⁴  Father!”

You people ¹  are doing the deeds of your father.” Then ²  they said to Jesus, ³  “We were not born as a result of immorality! ⁴  We have only one Father, God himself.”

just as the Father knows me and I know the Father – and I lay down my life ¹  for ²  the sheep.

My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, ¹  and no one can snatch ²  them from my Father’s hand.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me, but if you do not believe me, ¹  believe because of the miraculous deeds ²  themselves.

but I am doing just what the Father commanded me, so that the world may know ¹  that I love the Father. ²  Get up, let us go from here.” ³ 

For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. ¹
