For many are called, but few are chosen.”

So they spent ¹  considerable ²  time with the disciples.

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which were many, are forgiven, thus she loved much; ¹  but the one who is forgiven little loves little.”

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

They also had a few small fish. After giving thanks for these, he told them to serve these as well.

At ¹  that time ²  a great disturbance ³  took place concerning the Way. ⁴ 

Agrippa ¹  said to Paul, “In such a short time are you persuading me to become a Christian?” ² 

that ¹  by revelation the divine secret ²  was made known to me, as I wrote before briefly. ³ 

This brings you great joy, ¹  although you may have to suffer ²  for a short time in various trials.

Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They replied, “Seven – and a few small fish.”

He was not able to do a miracle there, except to lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

as it is written: “The one who gathered ¹  much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.” ² 

(Stop drinking just water, but use a little wine for your digestion ¹  and your frequent illnesses.) ² 

For by speaking high-sounding but empty words ¹  they are able to entice, ²  with fleshly desires and with debauchery, ³  people ⁴  who have just escaped ⁵  from those who reside in error. ⁶ 

But the gate is narrow and the way is difficult that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
